The Grant Landscape Has Evolved, But Funding Is Still Live

For years, whenever a business owner in Singapore talked about upgrading their finance or inventory system, the go-to answer was always the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG).

Enterprise Singapore has rolled out a major update to consolidate and streamline how businesses apply for support. The familiar grant frameworks have officially transitioned into a unified structure known as the EDGE Grant.

If your company has been holding off on modernizing your accounting system or preparing for statutory changes like the GST InvoiceNow requirement, don't worry. The funding has not disappeared. It is now organized under a direct track called Accounting and Sales Management within the Single-function Digital Solutions category.

Here is a straightforward look at the actual support numbers, eligibility rules, and a simple walkthrough to get your software funded.

The Support Numbers: What Can Your Business Claim?

Under the new EDGE Grant framework for Accounting and Sales Management, the funding is designed to provide immediate relief for essential daily operational tools like general ledger, tax calculations, sales invoicing, and financial reporting.

  • Support Quantum: Eligible local SMEs can receive up to 50% support, capped at S$2,500 for this solution area. (Non-SMEs can receive up to 30% support, capped at S$1,500).

  • Fast Turnaround: Application outcomes are targeted within just 1 week.

  • Overall Caps: This solution falls under your company’s annual Automation and Digitalisation grant cap of S$30,000, within the broader overall annual grant cap of S$100,000.

  • Timeline: Once your application is approved, your project must be completed within 18 months. Costs incurred from the date of application are covered upon approval.

Do You Meet the Criteria?

Before starting your application, ensure your company meets the baseline criteria set out on the BizSG portal:

  1. Singapore Registered: Your business entity must be registered and operating locally in Singapore.

  2. Local Shareholding: You must have at least 30% ownership (direct or indirect) held by Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide

To ensure your application goes through smoothly without any hiccups, keep this checklist handy before you begin:
