The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) will begin a soft‑launch of the GST InvoiceNow Requirement on 1 May 2025. From that date, GST‑registered businesses are encouraged to transmit their invoice data to IRAS through the national InvoiceNow (Peppol) e‑invoicing network, before the requirement is rolled out progressively later in the year.
Early adopters will avoid a last‑minute scramble and enjoy the productivity gains that real‑time, machine‑readable e‑invoices bring.
What Is InvoiceNow?
InvoiceNow is Singapore’s nationwide e‑invoice framework based on the global Peppol standard. Instead of emailing a PDF, you send a structured e‑invoice that flows directly from your accounting system, through an Access Point, into your customer’s software and IRAS. This removes manual data entry, speeds up payments, and automates GST reporting.
Why Prepare Now?
Automatic GST submission – Invoice data reaches IRAS instantly, cutting out manual uploads and reducing errors.
Faster cash collection – Customers process Peppol invoices more quickly, shortening your receivable cycle.
Future‑proof compliance – Setting up now means no disruption when the mandate tightens after 1 Nov 2025.
SQL Account: InvoiceNow‑Ready Out of the Box
SQL Account already ships with an InvoiceNow‑ready module that lets you send and receive Peppol e‑invoices without third‑party add‑ons. Key features include:
Built‑in Access‑Point connector — activate with a few clicks and register your UEN on the network.
Automatic GST field mapping — IRAS‑required data elements are pre‑configured to the correct Peppol tags.
Tutorial videos & guides — free resources and user training from Apscom Solutions ensure a smooth roll‑out.
If you’re on an older SQL Account build, ask your reseller for the InvoiceNow patch or upgrade.
ABSS/MYOB: InvoiceNow‑Ready with Built‑in PEPPOL Connector
ABSS Premier (v30 and above) and ABSS AccountEdge users now have an InvoiceNow‑ready module that plugs directly into the PEPPOL network. Key highlights, as detailed by ABSS Singapore:
Native PEPPOL Support — No third‑party add‑ons required; simply activate the e‑invoice function in your ABSS software.
One‑Click Send & Receive — Convert your existing ABSS tax invoice into a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 e‑invoice and deliver it straight to customers and IRAS.
Access‑Point Partnership — ABSS bundles connectivity through an accredited Access Point, so you don’t need a separate subscription.
Auto‑Population of GST Fields — Mandatory IRAS data elements are pre‑mapped, ensuring compliance and eliminating manual entry.
Status Tracking Dashboard — Monitor whether each e‑invoice has been successfully delivered and acknowledged.
Free Onboarding for Early Adopters — Businesses that sign up before the soft‑launch window may qualify for complimentary registration and training.
If you are running an older ABSS/MYOB build, contact your reseller for an upgrade to the latest InvoiceNow‑compatible version.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to move to the cloud?
No. SQL Account and ABSS/MYOB both support on‑premise installs that connect to an Access Point. Cloud hosting simply adds mobility.
Will PDF invoices still work?
Yes, but once GST InvoiceNow is enabled IRAS relies on the e‑invoice copy for tax purposes. PDFs become optional for customer reference.
